Position Overview

FedEx is hiring Network Engineers to design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across facility and corporate environments. You will configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems, troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, support network expansion projects, and ensure uptime SLAs are met across your assigned facility portfolio. This is a mid-level engineering position within the FedEx IT organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls across facility LAN and corporate WAN environments.
• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity issues affecting sort systems, scanning infrastructure, and enterprise applications.
• Design and implement wireless network expansions supporting handheld scanner coverage in warehouse and dock environments.
• Monitor network health using SNMP, syslog, and network management platforms, responding to alerts within SLA response windows.
• Support network security infrastructure including VPN concentrators, intrusion detection systems, and access control lists.

Qualifications & Benefits

Bachelor's degree in computer science, network engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years enterprise network engineering experience. CCNA required; CCNP preferred. Strong proficiency with Cisco IOS, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and network security architecture.
