Position Overview

FedEx Express is seeking FAA-certified Aircraft Mechanics (A&P) to perform line and heavy maintenance on our cargo aircraft fleet. You will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul airframe systems, powerplants, and avionics at FedEx hub maintenance facilities. This is a direct-hire position with FedEx Express offering premium aviation compensation and full corporate benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on FedEx cargo aircraft per FAA-approved maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair airframe structures, hydraulic systems, landing gear, and flight control surfaces.
• Conduct engine inspections, borescope evaluations, and powerplant component replacements.
• Complete all maintenance documentation, logbook entries, and return-to-service signoffs per FAR Part 121.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve complex mechanical discrepancies.

Qualifications & Benefits

Must hold a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate. Minimum 2 years commercial aviation maintenance experience preferred. Must provide own basic hand tools. Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
