About FedEx Inside Sales

While FedEx field sales representatives visit customers in person, the Inside Sales team works from centralized offices to acquire and develop small-to-midsize business accounts through phone, email, and virtual meetings. Inside Sales Specialists target the massive market of businesses shipping 10–500 packages per week — accounts too numerous for individual field coverage but too valuable to leave unmanaged. This high-activity sales role combines prospecting energy with consultative logistics knowledge to convert occasional shippers into dedicated FedEx customers.

Position Overview

FedEx is hiring Inside Sales Specialists to develop small-to-midsize commercial shipping accounts through phone and digital outreach from centralized sales offices. You will prospect new business leads, conduct virtual shipping assessments, present FedEx service recommendations, and close account agreements — all without leaving the office. This is a high-activity phone sales role with base salary plus performance incentives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect new small-to-midsize business accounts through outbound phone calls, email campaigns, and digital lead follow-up.
• Conduct virtual shipping needs assessments identifying customer volume, destinations, and current carrier pain points.
• Present FedEx Express, Ground, and Freight solutions tailored to each prospect's shipping profile and budget.
• Close new account agreements processing setup documentation and coordinating first-shipment onboarding.
• Manage a pipeline of developing accounts in the CRM, maintaining consistent outreach cadence and follow-up discipline.

Qualifications & Benefits

Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year phone sales, telemarketing, or inside sales experience preferred. Strong verbal communication, persuasion skills, and comfort with high call volumes. CRM proficiency required.
