Terminal Operations Managers at FedEx Freight own the complete operational performance of a service center — from dawn P&D dispatch through overnight linehaul departure. This senior leadership position carries accountability for every metric that matters: freight throughput, claims ratio, on-time service, labor cost, fleet utilization, and employee safety. FedEx Freight terminal managers lead complex organizations and are groomed for advancement into district and regional director roles within the FedEx Freight leadership pipeline.

Position Overview

FedEx Freight is hiring Terminal Operations Managers to assume full operational leadership of assigned service center facilities. You will direct all daily functions including dock operations, driver dispatch, linehaul coordination, customer account management, and workforce planning. This is a senior management role reporting to the District Operations Director with P&L ownership and full staffing authority.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all inbound and outbound freight operations including dock sort, P&D dispatch, and linehaul trailer loading.
• Manage the facility operating budget controlling labor hours, equipment costs, fuel consumption, and freight claims.
• Develop and execute staffing plans covering dock workers, drivers, supervisors, and administrative support across all shifts.
• Partner with FedEx Freight sales teams to retain key commercial accounts and support revenue growth in the local market.
• Lead facility safety programs ensuring OSHA compliance, injury rate reduction, and successful regulatory audit outcomes.

Qualifications & Benefits

Minimum 5 years progressive management experience in LTL, truckload, or distribution center operations with proven P&L accountability.
