Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect all declared dangerous goods shipments for proper UN packaging, hazard labels, and orientation markings.
- Review Shipper's Declarations for Dangerous Goods verifying classification, packing group, and quantity accuracy.
- Reject non-compliant shipments and communicate specific deficiencies to shippers with corrective action guidance.
- Monitor undeclared hazmat detection procedures on the sort line, intercepting mislabeled or hidden DG items.
- Maintain current IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations knowledge and complete biennial recertification training.
Qualifications & Benefits
Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent. Current IATA Dangerous Goods certification required — FedEx will sponsor initial certification for candidates with relevant logistics experience. Exceptional attention to detail and familiarity with hazmat classification systems essential. Must pass TSA background check.
