Position Overview
FedEx Supply Chain is hiring Operations Managers to lead all warehouse functions at assigned distribution center sites. You will manage multiple supervisors and shift leads across receiving, fulfillment, shipping, and inventory control, owning site-level P&L performance and client service-level agreement compliance. This is a senior management position reporting to the Regional Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all distribution center operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
- Own the site operating budget controlling labor hours, temporary staffing, equipment costs, and supply expenses against targets.
- Deliver client SLA performance including order accuracy, on-time shipment rates, and inventory accuracy to contractual standards.
- Lead a team of 3–8 supervisors and 50–300+ warehouse associates, managing hiring, development, and performance accountability.
- Partner with client account managers on volume forecasts, operational changes, new SKU launches, and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications & Benefits
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or business required. Minimum 5 years progressive operations management experience in distribution, fulfillment, or 3PL environments. Proven P&L management, team leadership, and client relationship track record. WMS proficiency and Lean/Six Sigma experience valued.
