Position Overview
FedEx Freight is hiring Reach Truck Operators to manage high-rack freight storage and retrieval at service center facilities equipped with vertical racking systems. You will operate stand-up reach trucks to store overflow freight in elevated rack locations and retrieve staged shipments for outbound loading. This is a specialized equipment position requiring prior reach truck experience or willingness to complete advanced certification training.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate stand-up reach trucks to place and retrieve palletized freight in racking systems up to 30 feet high.
- Manage rack inventory locations using warehouse management scanners to maintain accurate storage maps.
- Rotate freight in rack storage based on outbound schedule priority, pulling next-day shipments to ground staging.
- Perform daily reach truck pre-operation inspections including mast height checks, battery levels, and fork condition.
- Maintain strict overhead awareness and pedestrian clearance protocols when operating at elevated heights.
Qualifications & Benefits
